Corporate Accountant

LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Corporate Accountant for our real estate client here in Houston. This role offers the opportunity to perform general accounting duties, review and reconcile balance sheets, and contribute to the financial success of a leading organization.

Primary responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant role:

• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations

• Review and correct historical balance sheet accounts

• Perform bank reconciliations and monthly calculations

• Create and post A/R invoices and necessary journal entries

• Track and record investor contributions and distributions

• Code and post cash activity for all corporate entities

• Support audits and financial activities related to real estate investment fund audits

• Ensure all deadlines are met according to closing dates set by management

Primary qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2-3 years of related experience

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of real estate accounting is a plus

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and judgment

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
