Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to design pre-engineered steel structures (metal building systems) using specialized software and supplementary tools. The ideal candidate will have a team mentality and a strong desire to obtain additional professional engineering licenses across the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design safe and efficient structures for clients.

  • Communicate design plans clearly and accurately.

  • Respond to field questions with effective solutions.

  • Contribute to team success with specific areas of expertise.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of specialized design software, design codes, principles, and practices.

  • Competency in metal building design.

  • Solutions-minded approach to project challenges.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering required.

  • Functional knowledge of building codes.

  • Proficiency in steel design and metal building systems, requiring significant coordination with other trades.

  • Licensure as a professional engineer (PE) is preferred, with the ability/desire to obtain additional licenses throughout the United States.

Preferences:

  • Team mentality, works well with others, and communicates clearly.

  • Creative, seeks to provide solutions, and influences others to improve.

  • Experience in metal building design, specifically with specialized software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Continually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard.

  • Occasionally required to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the main design program is a distinguisher, though not an absolute necessity.

  • Metal building design experience is highly important.

  • Ability to deal with clients frequently and handle technical conversations on customer-facing calls.

  • English fluency is a must-have due to customer interactions.

  • PE License required.



Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
