LHH is seeking an EVENT COORDINATOR for a temporary/contract position in Houston, TX.

Position: EVENT COORDINATOR

Type: temporary/contract (4+ months)

Location: 100% ONSITE (77007 zip code)

Pay Range: $20-21/hr DOE

Work Schedule: M-F, 8 AM-5 PM

SUMMARY:

Works in collaboration with supervisor and staff to ensure efficient coordination of Speaker, Tours, and Fairs requests. Coordinates scheduling of speakers and agencies for educational opportunities for The Organization workplace campaigns, affinity groups and donor prospects. Works with detail-oriented requests in a deadline driven environment.

DUTIES:

· Planning and coordinating speaker events, basic presenting skills

· Oversee requests submitted for the Speakers, Tours and Fairs program and ensuring they are scheduled and confirmed promptly.

· Responsible for updating and maintaining approved speaker list, agency coordinator contacts and overall request tracking.

· Will work closely with staff, agency contacts and speakers.

· Support the Materials on Demand program approval process as needed.

· Track and mail out campaign reporting envelopes for campaign processing/audit purposes.

· Performs administrative or project-oriented duties as assigned by manager including support of Loaned Executive training, special events and volunteer engagement projects as needed.

· Supports Volunteer Engagement team in the tracking and distribution of DOC t-shirts.

· Other duties as assigned include support for general events and special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Strong Written and verbal communication skills

· Great customer service skills

· Good people skills and the ability to interact with diverse staff, corporate partners, and agencies at all levels

· Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and attention to detail

EXPERIENCE:

· At least 1-3 years of prior event coordinating or administrative assistant experience



Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
