LHH is seeking an Export Operations Coordinator for a contract-to-hire position in Houston, TX.

Pay Range: $28-30/hr DOE
Work Schedule: 100% onsite (M-F, 8 am-5 pm), plus overtime (REMOTE) 1-2 weekends per month (7 am-7 pm)
SUMMARY:
The Export Operations Coordinator is a client-facing position responsible for providing exceptional customer service for The Company’ Chemistry Technologies and Data Analytics international operations. This role combines order entry, export documentation management, and coordination to ensure the smooth execution of orders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in export logistics and documentation, hazardous materials handling, and the oil and gas industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the first line of communication between sales and internal stakeholders, supporting customer operations through frequent and engaged communication, job tracking, and reporting.
Implement best practices and processes for autonomous and proficient order entry, CRM input, JDE use, and external and internal client communication.
Monitor and respond to email correspondence promptly and professionally.
Coordinate and manage all aspects of export customer service and logistics, including scheduling, documentation, and customs compliance.
Prepare shipping documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate preparation of export orders, including picking, packing, and labeling of goods.
Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange transportation of goods, negotiate rates, and ensure on-time delivery.
Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Work closely with customs brokers to ensure compliance with customs regulations, including the preparation and submission of required documentation.
Maintain and update shipping records, tracking systems, and databases to ensure accurate and accessible information.
Resolve any shipping-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, by coordinating with relevant parties and implementing corrective actions.
Stay updated on international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping trends to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
Assist with Data Analytics and Domestic Client Operations order management, as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of export documentation requirements, including but not limited to: IMDG, IATA, 49CFR.
3 or more years of customer service experience, with the ability to efficiently coordinate and balance multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Knowledge of export logistics, supply chain, or industrial/chemical manufacturing and distribution.
Preferred experience with oilfield operations.
Experience with ERP Systems such as SAP and Oracle/JDE.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
