We are seeking a dependable and tech-savvy Field Operations Support Specialist to assist with administrative support, scheduling, and operational logistics in a fast-paced fence installation and distribution environment.
Job: Field Operations Support Specialist
Location: Houston, TX 77093
Pay Rate: $22/hr – $25/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Contract Type: Contract with potential for Temp-to-Hire (TTH)
This role directly supports the Senior Vice President of Sales and plays a critical role in both office and field coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, physically capable, comfortable in a construction-related setting, and experienced in administrative and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support to the Senior VP of Sales
Perform administrative duties including scheduling, data entry, and document organization
Create and manage purchase orders (POs) for incoming supply tickets
Support logistics for job sites, including coordinating with field teams and delivery schedules
Assist with delivering materials or tools to the yard or job sites when needed
Run occasional errands such as pickups from Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.
Maintain organized records using Excel and QuickBooks
Handle customer service inquiries or project-related communication as needed
Requirements:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to lift at least 65 lbs and assist with light materials handling
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be tech-savvy with proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
Willingness to work in and around a construction/yard environment
Comfortable with occasional field support tasks (e.g., pickups, deliveries)
Drug testing required
Experience in office support, operations, administration, or customer service roles
Background or familiarity with construction or distribution environments is preferred
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a high-volume setting
Strong attention to detail and follow-through on time-sensitive tasks
Preferred Candidate Traits:
Previous experience supporting field operations, project coordination, or warehouse teams
A hands-on approach and flexibility to step in where needed
Comfortable working around crews, outdoor job sites, and physical inventory
