Responsibilities

· Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including property acquisitions, property development, depreciation, disposal, and impairment, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.

· Perform regular reconciliations of fixed asset sub-ledger to general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

· Coordinate with property management teams to review and analyze capital expenditures, construction-in-progress, and leasehold improvements for proper classification and accounting treatment.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to fixed assets, including depreciation schedules, roll-forwards, and variance analysis.

· Assist in the development and implementation of fixed asset policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to support audits, reviews, and tax filings related to fixed assets and property accounting.

· Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate and timely information on capital expenditures and depreciation expenses.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting and property accounting, preferably in commercial real estate

· Strong understanding of accounting principles related to fixed assets and property accounting standards

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft 365 Products.

· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations; experience with PowerBI is a plus.

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting and analysis.

· Exhibit effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.

· Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $10,000.00 per year
