LHH is proactively seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Generalist to join our client’s team on a contract basis.
Location: Houston area, Texas
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00/hr (DOE)
As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources department and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions. You will be responsible for a variety of HR tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.
Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and maintain accurate HR records.
Performance Management: Assist with the performance review process, including tracking and documenting employee performance and development.
Training & Development: Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs and development initiatives.
HR Reporting: Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Employee Engagement: Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives and activities.
HR Projects: Support various HR projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in human resources or a related role.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with the capability to manage competing priorities.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with HRIS systems.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in HR documentation, reporting, and compliance tasks.
Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve HR issues and provide effective solutions.
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive HR information.
