We’re looking for an experienced Immigration Paralegal to support our client in preparing and filing immigration petitions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong grasp of U.S. business immigration processes, and enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients.
Details:
- 40 hours/week
- Pay rate: $35/hour
- 12-month contract (potential for extension)
- Onsite in downtown Houston, TX
- Not eligible for overtime, benefits, or sick leave
Responsibilities:
- Prepare nonimmigrant petitions, applications, and support letters for attorney review.
- Manage a high volume of active cases at various stages of preparation.
- Review documents to assist attorneys in identifying issues and escalate irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records using internal case management systems.
- Communicate clearly with clients, internal teams, and government agencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of U.S. business immigration experience (law firm setting preferred).
- Investor visa (e.g., E-2 and EB-5) experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with both immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions/applications.
- Paralegal certification or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and document management systems like iManage.
