LHH is looking for an experienced Intake Clerk to join our AmLaw 100 client’s accounting team. This position reports directly to the Controller and works closely their accounting team to ensure the firm's matter intake and matter maintenance related processes are handled timely, accurately and in accordance with firm policy and practice.
The successful candidate will thrive in a team environment and understands the importance of internal and external client service. Currently a hybrid 3 days in office with 2 days remote schedule, subsequent to initial 90 days.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conflicts - Enter and process conflict checks and distribute conflict report
Opening Matters - Open case evaluation matters in the system and assist with documentation review for new matter setup.
Matter Management Reports - Assist in updating the status notes on matter management reports.
Quality Control - Accurate processing of conflicts and reporting.
Correspondence - Correspond with firm personnel as needed.
Research and Support - Gather and provide support documentation for internal/financial reviews as well as information requested by firm personnel.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Minimum of 2-4 years accounting department experience in a law firm required. Aderant software preferred.
Microsoft Office, Excel knowledge a plus.
Track record of impeccable accuracy and high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
Superior customer service internal and external.
Ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and professionally with attorneys, staff, and clients with confidentiality of client and firm matters.
Maintain confidentiality and act with professional discretion.
Maintain a calm, courteous and professional demeanor, with a positive attitude.
Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively execute in a deadline driven industry.
