LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Medical Coder for a growing organization in Houston, TX. As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in transcribing and translating details from a patient's medical records into medical codes such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes. These documents may include medical services, provider's notes, procedures, laboratory reports, and healthcare diagnoses. Your role will play an integral part in the revenue cycle to ensure accurate billing processes for patients and insurance companies.

This position is a full-time, in-office position, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Translating patient information into appropriate medical codes

• Reviewing medical records to ensure accurate and complete information

• Participating in quality assurance activities to ensure coding accuracy and compliance

• Properly follow Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPPA guidelines

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent coding experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent

• CPC required

• Knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding (HCPCS) codes

• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPPA Guidelines
