LHH is seeking an O&G Data Analyst - Chemical Tracer Data Specialist for a contract position in Northwest Houston, TX.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7AM-4PM or 8AM-5PM
Location: 100% ONSITE - Houston, Texas 77040
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced O&G Data Analyst to join our clien'’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and preparing chemical tracer data to produce final client deliverables. Your expertise in Excel, VBA macros, and chemical data management within the oil and gas sector will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality outputs that meet client expectations.
Job Duties:
Enter, update, and correct chemical tracer injection and sampling data using MS Access front-end (MS Access experience preferred).
Validate field-provided data for accuracy and completeness before entry.
Generate, format, and edit Excel-based reports to summarize and visualize chemical tracer data.
Utilize and troubleshoot existing VBA code for process automation within Excel.
Identify data patterns, take corrective actions, and seek input for anomalous data based on your O&G experience.
Create advanced deliverables from chemical data using Excel macros, plotting software, and other tools.
Interact professionally with various internal stakeholders including sales, technical, field, and laboratory teams.
Availability for rotating on-call schedules during storms and emergencies as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
Required: Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of O&G operations and data patterns.
Preferred: 2- or 4-year degree in a Petroleum-related field.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience with VBA macros for automation.
Familiarity with Microsoft Access front-ends and working directly in tables is advantageous.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
