LHH is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Oil and Gas Surface and Contract Analyst to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of surface-related lease and contract data, as well as the ability to manage and interpret complex information to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities:

· Analyze, interpret, input, and update surface-related lease and contract data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

· Assist with working monthly calendars for all payments, expirations, and obligations associated with surface assets.

· Support surface-related Land Operations Teams, including Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, Oxy Chemical, and Glenn Springs.

· Identify and track contractual obligations associated with surface acquisitions, trades, and divestitures.

· Assist within the Land Administration department with special projects, including Acquisition & Divestitures, coordinating large-scale data quality initiatives affiliated with surface assets, and may lead contractor efforts.

· Manage an area of operation spanning multiple states.

· Interpret contracts and leases for all properties, identifying and resolving technical, data-related, and process/procedural issues.

· Identify and offer alternative solutions to effectively resolve issues and deliver improvements to processes and systems.

· Process and track partner offers and perform necessary record-keeping.

· Prepare agreement exhibits and lease/acreage reports for business units and upper management.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for landowners and other stakeholders, resolving issues about property status and land administration procedures.

· Maintain affiliations with local/national associations and actively participate in meetings and networking events.

· Collaborate with all teams within our organization, including Land Administration, Land Operations, Accounting, and Legal.

· Independently carry out tasks, showcasing the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

· Demonstrate strong accountability for actions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

· Drive results by taking ownership of projects and tasks, consistently meeting deadlines and targets.

· Collaborate with team members to conceptualize, plan, and implement strategies that enhance data integrity, contract management, and acreage prioritization.

· Innovate new ways to analyze and present data, providing fresh insights to management and stakeholders.

· Participate in the design and execution of comprehensive plans for surface asset management, ensuring alignment with management goals.

· Drive the identification and prioritization of surface asset projects, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

· Prior experience in Oil & Gas Surface work, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant industry practices.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal – and willing to exercise these skills.

· Knowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP experience is a plus.

· Ability to work under deadlines and sometimes on multiple projects.

· Handle confidential and proprietary company data and information.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

· Knowledge of basic land principles and their application with the ability to analyze land data for entry into the land data management system.

· General understanding of land terminology, contracts, and their uses with the ability to work on projects of increased complexity under general direction.

· 4+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of relevant experience without a degree.

· Proven track record of contributing effectively to a team while working collaboratively as a team player and independently with high levels of autonomy.

· Strong sense of responsibility and accountability for deliverables, actions, and behaviors.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing situations.
