LHH is seeking a PRICING ANALYST for a direct hire position in Houston, TX.
Position: PRICING ANALYST
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: 100% onsite (Houston, TX 77032)
Compensation: $27.50 - $37.50/hr DOE
Work Schedule: M-F, 8 am-5 pm
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Pricing Analyst to join their team. This role is crucial for analyzing pricing data and trends to help The Company remain competitive in the transportation and logistics industry. The Pricing Analyst will work closely with other departments, including sales and operations, to develop pricing strategies that drive business growth. The team currently consists of four people who are relatively inexperienced, so they need someone with solid experience to guide them.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze pricing data and trends to identify areas where The Company can improve its pricing strategies.
Develop pricing models and strategies that take into account factors such as market conditions, competition, and customer demand.
Work closely with sales and operations teams to understand customer needs and develop pricing proposals that meet those needs.
Monitor pricing performance and adjust pricing strategies as needed to remain competitive.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that pricing strategies align with overall business objectives.
Maintain pricing databases and ensure that pricing information is accurate and up to date.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND / WORK EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of experience in a pricing or analytical role in the transportation and logistics industry.
Experience with procurement or pricing in operations.
Oversized experience preferable.
Needs to have experience in SCL – can't train on what a bill of lading is.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with large amounts of data and identify trends.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Familiarity with CargoWise preferred but not required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
Master's degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
Experience with pricing in the transportation and logistics industry.
Knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
COMPUTER LITERACY:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
Pay Details: $27.50 to $37.50 per hour
