Job Title: Sales Representative
Location: Houston area, Texas
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00/hr (DOE)
As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by driving sales initiatives, building relationships with clients, and contributing to the overall success of the sales department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with various tasks, including preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new sales leads through research, networking, and outreach efforts.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, performance metrics, and client interactions to support data-driven decision-making.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services to effectively communicate their value to clients.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights that can inform sales strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of sales initiatives.
- Event Participation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote products and services.
- Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including maintaining client records, scheduling meetings, and managing sales documentation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related role.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with the capability to manage competing priorities.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in sales documentation, reporting, and client interactions.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve client issues and provide effective solutions.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-Focused: A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($25.00 - $35.00 per hour).
