Schedule: Monday–Thursday (9 AM–4 PM), Fridays (8 AM–12 PM, optional remote)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a well-rounded Senior HR Generalist with 5–8 years of progressive HR experience to support a leading engineering company in Houston. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who brings strong experience in employee relations investigations, performance management, and training facilitation.

You'll be joining a smaller HR team that’s collaborative, supportive, and hands-on—where your ideas matter and your contributions are recognized. The company offers a professional, welcoming office environment with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the go-to expert for employee relations and performance concerns

  • Lead investigations and resolution of complex workplace issues

  • Oversee onboarding/offboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews

  • Manage the performance review process, including PIPs, coaching, and development plans

  • Facilitate and develop training programs, including compliance, leadership, safety, and professional development

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and deliver employee engagement and recognition programs

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws

  • Maintain accurate data in HRIS systems and generate necessary reports

  • Provide backup support for payroll and benefits

  • Assist with recruiting and HR projects as needed

What You Bring to the Team:

✅ 5–8 years of HR Generalist experience, with depth in employee relations and training

✅ Proven track record in conducting investigations, managing performance issues, and coaching managers


✅ Experience in facilitating trainings and/or creating training materials for various organizational needs


✅ Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance


✅ Effective communicator, both verbal and written, with diplomacy and discretion


✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms


✅ Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)


✅ SHRM-CP or PHR preferred


✅ Strong organizational and time management skills


✅ Team-oriented mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach
