Senior Property Accountant-Direct Hire-Hybrid Schedule
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join a dynamic team. This role combines the critical responsibilities of financial management.
Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including month-end close, journal entries, and CAM reconciliations.
Prepare financial statements and variance analyses for senior management review.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to property operations.
Collaborate with property managers and operational teams to provide financial insights and support.
Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Support external audits and tax preparation efforts.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting property accounting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property accounting or commercial real estate finance required
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
