Position Summary

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and commissioning compressed air equipment on-site. This position requires candidates with experience in repairing desiccant dryers, rotary screw compressors, and centrifugal compressors. Technicians will operate from a company-provided service truck and should reside in or near Corpus Christi, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, maintenance, and commissioning of compressed air equipment.

• Address customer-initiated technical issues promptly and effectively.

• Conduct courtesy calls to customer sites on days without scheduled paid jobs.

• Collaborate with Account Managers and management to enhance service and aftermarket revenue.

• Assist other technicians as needed, traveling to support team efforts.

• Serve as an ambassador for the company, representing our values and commitment to quality service.

• Work independently with minimal daily supervision.

Specific Tasks

• Remove, rebuild, and replace valves weighing up to 60 pounds without assistance.

• Remove and replace pipe spools up to 8” in diameter.

• Conduct electrical tests using a voltmeter.

• Program and troubleshoot microprocessor and PLC-based equipment controls.

• Climb and work safely on scaffolding.

• Complete daily reports using computer systems.

• Handle air dryer desiccant in 50-pound sacks.

Additional Responsibilities

• Learn to startup and troubleshoot equipment packages supplied by the company.

• Provide technical support to customers over the phone.

• While most tasks will be on-site, be prepared to perform some repairs and rebuilds in-house.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with compressed air equipment, specifically desiccant dryers, rotary screw compressors, and centrifugal compressors.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work at heights, and perform physical tasks as needed.

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
