Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid Schedule)
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with a focus on fixed assets to join our team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a balance between in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the fixed assets ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the fixed assets ledger, including additions, disposals, and transfers.
Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts.
Prepare and review depreciation schedules.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports related to fixed assets.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for fixed asset accounting.
Support the annual audit process by providing documentation and explanations related to fixed assets.
Participate in special projects and process improvements as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed assets.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
