LHH is seeking a SUBSEA CONTRACT MANAGER for a long-term contract position in Houston, TX.
Position: Supply Chain Contract Manager – Subsea Decommissioning (Titan Platform – Gulf of Mexico)
Type: Long-term contract (1-2+ years)
Location: HYBRID schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote), 77042 zip code
Pay Range: $65-75/hr DOE
Work Schedule: M-F, core hours 9 am-3 pm
PROJECT SUBSEA SCOPE:
This role involves executing pipeline isolation, cleaning, and abandonment (gas and oil lines), subsea SCR disconnect and laydown, mooring line recovery, and subsea debris survey and removal. Experience with diving, ROV, pipeline flushing, and abandonment contractors is essential.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, manage, and implement high-risk subsea procurement strategy to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of Equinor’s Titan Offshore Platform Decommissioning and Abandon Project.
Perform market analysis to identify suitable suppliers and innovative solutions that align with project objectives.
Manage the bidding process, review bids, and make award recommendations to project management/Senior Management.
Monitor contract performance, project timelines/progress, and budget, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions as they arise.
Ensure compliance with Equinor’s Supply Chain Management governing processes, with a specific focus on integrity due diligence, human rights assessments, safety, and commercial risk.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all aspects of the supply chain and project execution, including Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) regulations.
Implement contracts in all systems (Plan-to-Pay), drive and perform contract management from award to contract close-out with a focus on meeting project objectives, minimizing value leakage, managing risk, and promoting safety.
Utilize market data and digital tools to assist strategic sourcing.
Proactively ensure high-quality stakeholder management both internally and towards suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject matter, ideally projects supply chain or procurement related.
Offshore Decommissioning/Gulf of Mexico experience preferred, specialization in Subsea category required, ideally from international oil and gas producers (e.g., Shell, BP, Exxon Mobil) or global service providers (e.g., Bechtel, Subsea7).
10+ years’ experience with Offshore Oil and Gas EPC/M contract establishment and contract management (non-negotiable).
Commercial-minded with a deep understanding of high-risk Projects Contracts, managing significant financial resources and procurement strategies, experience with schedule-driven contracts preferred.
Familiarity with the vendor qualification, RFI/RFP processes, EPC/M type contracts, and service agreement requirements.
Strong execution experience with large-size Offshore capital projects through different project phases.
Strong safety, compliance, commercial, and continuous improvement mindset.
Demonstrates a high level of personal integrity and ethical awareness.
Structured, independent, collaborative, and proactively solution-oriented with the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams across the organization.
Skilled in developing, utilizing, and extending a network of internal and external stakeholders with a proactive, strategic mindset and excellent communication skills.
Communicative regarding requirements, expectations, threats, and opportunities.
