Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst (Contract)
Location: Houston area, Texas
Job Type: Temp/Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM or 9 AM – 5 PM
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $35.00/hr (DOE)
As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and improving the supply chain processes. You will collect and interpret data to identify inefficiencies, track performance metrics, and provide actionable insights to enhance the overall supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with supply chain management software, and a passion for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement across procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on supply chain performance, including metrics such as lead times, costs, and inventory levels.
- Process Optimization: Recommend and assist with implementing process improvements in the supply chain, including cost reduction strategies, process automation, and inventory management practices.
- Forecasting & Demand Planning: Assist in forecasting demand, ensuring inventory levels align with customer needs, and preventing stockouts or overstocking.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Analyze supplier performance, track deliveries, and work with suppliers to ensure optimal lead times and quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and analyze inventory turnover rates to ensure efficient supply chain flow.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and operations, to ensure alignment across the supply chain.
- ERP & Supply Chain Systems: Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to track supply chain data, update records, and streamline operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations is required. Experience with supply chain management software or ERP systems is highly preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze large sets of data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.), experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and data visualization tools is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to work with complex data and ensure accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
