LHH is seeking an Electrical Technician for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, IN. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills and experience and work with a variety of electrical controls as well as AC/DC drives, powering electrical systems for manufacturing equipment, etc. Compensation ranges from $90,000-100,000 (after OT) and includes affordable benefit packages, 401K plan with a company match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and troubleshoot PLC-based machinery on the production floor and conduct follow up on resolutions
Identify and resolve process operating problems, investigate equipment failures, draft follow-up action reports, and share technical assistance with workers on the floor
Analyze equipment to provide recommendations for process improvements
Maintain system integrity across the manufacturing facility
Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues during manufacturing process
Assist with HMI and operator training
Maintain industrial control networks through Ethernet IP and other platforms
Provide expertise to help improve reliability and enhance preventative maintenance
Implement process improvement initiatives alongside the production team
As needed, assist with adapting applications and instrumentation to meet business demands
Coordinate with operations and management personnel to develop a shared vision for the completion of daily tasks and then report on those activities
Update electrical drawings as needed
Partner with team to manage all controls and PLC related projects across the plant which includes effective cost estimation, quoting, ordering of parts, machine installation, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred but not required
Must have at 2+ years of Electrical Engineering and/or Controls Engineering experience within a manufacturing facility
Must have the ability to troubleshoot (or complete basic programming) using PLCs (non-negotiable)
Must have experience and an understanding of Ladder Logic
Must have an understanding of power distribution, AD/DC drives, motors, and controls
Must possess the ability to interpret electrical schematics and have experience with design systems
Must be able to work independently without much supervision
