LHH is seeking an Inventory Clerk for a client in Indianapolis, IN. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of all inventory levels. Your role will involve tracking stock movements, organizing storage areas, and ensuring that all inventory is properly accounted for.
Responsibilities
Record and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and product details.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure that stock is always available for customer orders and production needs. Alert management of low stock levels.
Receive shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect goods for quality and accuracy.
Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring that items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
Input inventory data into the company's inventory management system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Perform regular cycle counts to verify physical inventory against system records and identify discrepancies.
Assist in periodic inventory audits and physical stock takes.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with inventory management software is a plus.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Basic math skills for counting and data entry.
Experience:
At least 2 years of inventory management experience
Experience within the manufacturing industry preferred but not required
Assignment Length
4-6 months (potential for extension)
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
