HH is currently seeking a National Sales Manager for industrial and commercial sales across various sectors for a manufacturing client based out of Louisville, KY calling on customers in the Carolinas and Midwest-Southeast regions. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years prior experience as Sales Leader in a high-growth B2B company with multiple product categories and channels of distribution. He/she will be a hands-on, independent self-starter who moves easily from strategic/conceptual to the tactical daily issues and must have a proven track record of building and leading a high functioning group of customer accounts. Primary responsibility will be to identify new business opportunities, promote new products, and deliver exceptional customer service. This position requires a motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills. This position will require up to 50% travel and offers a company car allowance, salary range of $125-145k plus uncapped commissions, 20% annual bonus, 401k, generous PTO, and health benefits package.

While this is a 100% remote position, candidates MUST live in Eastern Standard Time Zone (EST) and within 25 mile drive to major airport with direct flights for easy access to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities in the assigned territory to achieve sales targets and revenue growth within the Plastic, Packaging & Containers, Manufacturing Industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication and visits.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to educate customers on the features and benefits of our mechanical power transmissions, conveyor belts, and electrical control products.
  • Collaborate with the internal sales and technical teams to provide comprehensive solutions and address customer needs effectively.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities and stay updated on product knowledge.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and conferences to network, generate leads, and represent the company professionally.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer information, and activity reports using CRM software.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge through training programs and self-study to stay informed about advancements in mechanical power transmissions, conveyor belts, and electrical control products.

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE 5-7+ years of sales opportunities in the assigned territory to achieve sales targets and revenue growth within the Plastic, Packaging & Containers, Manufacturing Industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required (10+ years' experience will be considered without a degree).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to understand and explain mechanical power transmissions, conveyor belts, and electrical control products.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to sales.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer interactions and track sales activities.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
