LHH is seeking a Purchasing Agent for a company in the manufacturing industry in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of purchasing experience and strong ERP and Excel skills. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Updating lead times, safety stock, and price lists in ERP system.

• Assisting with vetting new suppliers

• Assisting with forecasting and planning of purchases of raw materials and packaging materials

• Maintaining documentation on raw materials

• Managing, updating, and scheduling the purchase order deliveries in ERP system.

• Communicating with suppliers on raw material supply and pricing

• Collaborating with various internal teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in the Purchasing Department.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of proven Purchasing Experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and an ERP system

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Indianapolis, IN (100% onsite)
