Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our public accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities. This role requires excellent analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to providing top-tier service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
· Conduct thorough tax research and stay up-to-date with current tax laws and regulations.
· Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, offering strategic advice to optimize tax liabilities.
· Assist clients with tax audits and resolve tax-related issues.
· Maintain organized and accurate tax records and documentation.
· Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the tax department.
· Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends and standards.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required); CPA or EA certification (preferred).
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
· Comprehensive understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
· High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
