Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

Location: Irvine, CA
Position Type: Contract or Contract-to-Hire, Hybrid, Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay Rate: $90–$110/hour

LHH is working with a prestigious law firm seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join its team on a contract or contract-to-hire basis in Irvine, CA. The role includes handling a variety of defense matters including personal injury, premises liability, property damage, and auto-related claims.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Handle all aspects of litigation including depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences

• Evaluate cases for liability and damages and prepare case assessments for clients and carriers

• Maintain timely reporting requirements and communication with clients and claims professionals

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience

• Trial or arbitration experience preferred but not required

• Solid knowledge of California Civil Procedure

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• California Bar membership in good standing
