LHH Technology is seeking a highly skilled and emotionally intelligent Field Application Engineer for a global semiconductor leader specializing in discrete power technologies. This role is focused on expanding presence across the automotive, industrial, and renewable energy sectors by driving new market penetration, managing high-value customer relationships, and collaborating globally.

This is a high-visibility opportunity within a collaborative, globally aligned team. The position offers career mobility into management and is ideal for candidates who blend technical depth with strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business strategy and forecasting efforts for discrete power products (MOSFET, SiC, GaN, and power diodes).
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships, acting as a liaison between U.S. customers and engineering teams.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within target industries: automotive, industrial, and renewable energy.
  • Collaborate on pricing strategies and design-win initiatives to ensure competitiveness and technical alignment.
  • Support field teams and distributors with product training, market updates, and technical positioning.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable insights for internal engineering and marketing teams.
  • Conduct competitor analysis, market mapping, and trend evaluation to drive strategic product focus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (BSEE or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor business development, field applications, or product management.
  • Deep technical understanding of discrete power devices: MOSFET, SiC, GaN, and diodes.
  • Industry experience with automotive, industrial, or renewable energy sectors; familiarity with AEC-Q100 or PPAP preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interfacing with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; able to distill technical data for strategic presentations.
  • Japanese language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional international trips.

Location: Orange County, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 Days Onsite Weekly)

Salary Range: $125,000 – $165,000 base + Bonus

Travel: 10–25% across North America; occasional international travel (must be eligible without visa restrictions)
