Network Engineer - Cisco Focus - Irvine, CA

Are you a seasoned network engineer with a deep understanding of Cisco technologies?

Our client, a leading company in [Industry], is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their team in Irvine, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex network projects and contribute to the company’s continued success.

What you’ll do:

1. Required: 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
2. Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, setting up rule sets, creating rule sets and setting up IP Security Tunnels with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (often abbreviated FTD or Cisco Firepower)
3. Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, setting up rule sets, creating rule sets and setting up IP Security Tunnels with Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (often abbreviated cisco firewalls or FMC)
4. Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and routing Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
5. Required: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and routing Enhanced Exterior Gateway Routing Protocol and Border Gateway Protocol (EGP/ BGP) – Exterior gateway protocol (good troubleshooting experience on this)
6. Required: 3+ years of experience setting up connections with service providers using BGP
7. Required: 3+ years of experience routing and switching (ideally using cisco catalyst, cisco nexus 9k and 3k, ASR + ISR Routers)
8. Required: Willingness to Travel around Southern California to Data Centers 10% of the time
9. Required: 2+ years of experience with Cisco Identity Service Engineer (ISE)
10. Required: 2+ years of experience with Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA)

What you’ll need:

• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC).
• Expertise in routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP).
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ASR, and ISR routers.
• Strong understanding of network security and compliance.
• Ability to travel to data centers in Southern California (up to 10% of the time).
• Experience with Cisco ISE and DNA (preferred).

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per year.
