Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Location: The Grove, Irvine, CA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Duration: 6-month assignment with potential for a 2-3 month extension
Schedule: Standard Business Hours (Monday – Friday)
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr (MAX)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Procurement Specialist to join our team in Irvine, CA. This role will provide essential support to DaVita teammates managing the procurement of products and services used in dialysis facilities and business offices. The specialist will also assist with the online order system (Oracle iProcurement and Coupa) and support the Purchasing Department as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical Institution (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience (Required).
Preferred Experience: Prior supply chain, sourcing, or purchasing experience in healthcare or a multi-site company.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (Required).
System Knowledge: Intermediate proficiency with an online ordering system (Oracle iProcurement and Coupa preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries via phone, email, and the ServiceNow (CRM) platform, ensuring timely responses.
Document and resolve issues related to products, vendors, purchase orders, and online ordering system functionality.
Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve account issues efficiently.
Educate teammates on current procurement processes, procedures, and system updates.
Analyze support tracking data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Assist with centralized ordering and Oracle user testing, contributing to system enhancements.
Support supplier or product transitions and participate in various purchasing projects as assigned.
Attend meetings, training sessions, and contribute to department information on the organization’s intranet.
Ensure compliance with company policies and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
