The Office Assistant provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. This role involves a variety of tasks including managing schedules, organizing meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining records. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Itasca, IL.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations, including filing paperwork, answering phone calls, and preparing documents for meetings.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for the office staff.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and packages.
- Maintain and organize office files, records, and databases.
- Monitor and order office supplies to ensure the office is well-stocked.
- Support various projects by conducting research, preparing reports, and managing project timelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary will be a plus.
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); excellent time management skills; strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask; attention to detail; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, professional demeanor and appearance, problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness.

- Pay is $24-$28 an hour, depending on experience
