LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting our client located in Detroit, MI. Are you an experienced & well-rounded Accounting Clerk? Are you looking to expand key components of accounting? Accounting Clerk Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

  • Match, batch and code invoices

  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies

  • Set invoices up for payment, check for proper approval, and process checks

  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments

  • Preparing invoices and posting transactions

  • Process customer payments and refunds

  • Assist with month end close

  • Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2+ years of general accounting experience

  • Experience with Sage & QuickBooks Accounting Software

  • Ability to resolve discrepancies

  • Strong capability to work independently

  • Solid knowledge of MS Excel Program

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree a plus

Specifics:

  • Contract-to-Hire

  • Compensation between $20-24/hr. all dependent on experience

  • Full time hours: Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm

  • On-site
