Accounts Receivable Specialist
LHH is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoicing, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of billing procedures. This position is in office and will pay between $19 and $24/hr. depending on experience and education.
- Responsibilities: Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner
- Review and verify billing data, including customer information, product details, and pricing
- Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes by communicating with customers and internal departments
- Maintain and update customer billing records and account information
- Process payments and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collection
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance
- Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing billing inquiries and concerns
- Assist with collections and cash application when needed
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed
- Qualifications: Associate degree in business is preferred but not required
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
