We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AP/AR Supervisor to oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams for multiple entities within a leading healthcare benefits company. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of financial data, adherence to U.S. GAAP, and providing accurate financial reporting. The AP/AR Supervisor will report to the Controller of Finance and collaborate closely with the AVP of Finance, the President, and other functional leaders to support operational financial activities and key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision: Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable staff, assist in daily tasks, review and reconcile work, audit processes, and provide daily feedback and development to staff.

  • Accuracy and Training: Ensure staff work accuracy, provide ongoing training, feedback, and coaching, and give final approvals on routine work.

  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Measure and analyze financial results, initiate corrective actions, and minimize the impact of variances.

  • Advisory Role: Advise the Controller on issues and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Business Solutions: Identify business challenges, propose solutions, and enhance processes. Collaborate with the Controller to provide reporting to the President and functional leaders.

  • Corporate Projects: Participate in corporate projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze and interpret financial data, provide insights to business units, and create and present financial data for decision-making.

  • Audit Support: Assist with financial audits by providing requested information.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting supervision experience in the healthcare industry, with preferred knowledge in supplemental benefits such as hearing, vision, and dental.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidentiality and maintain composure in a professional manner.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence, with previous supervisory experience leading a team of 2+.

  • Communication: Professional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Financial Acumen: Sound financial business acumen with attention to strong controls, auditing experience, and reconciliation.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Work Environment: Ability to work in the office several days a week (hybrid) and meet the requirements for working from home, including a reliable and secure internet connection, a comfortable and quiet workspace, and necessary equipment setup.

Work Environment:

This role is based in the Jacksonville office but may require remote work at times. Candidates must have a reliable and secure internet service provider, a comfortable and quiet workspace, and the necessary equipment setup for working from home.




Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
