We are seeking a career-minded Controller for an excellent company on the southside of Jacksonville. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience in managerial accounting positions, preferably with an emphasis in construction, agriculture, or homebuilding industries. Job Duties
Manage daily accounting operations by overseeing processes and enforcing policies
Oversee processes with AP, AR, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, and Debt Compliance
Provide leadership and development for accounting staff
Oversee preparation of financial reports
Coordinate monthly closing process
Coordinate financial review and tax return preparation
Maintain accounting systems, internal controls, and records
Contribute to process improvements for compliance, risk management, and financial planning
Experience Required
8+ years of experience in high level accounting positions
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related area
Extensive experience managing accounting departments
Strong knowledge of GAAP and Internal Controls
Knowledge of tax regulations
CPA is a plus
Industry experience in construction, architecture, manufacturing, or a related area
Knowledge of ERP systems
