A local leader in the aircraft and defense industry is looking to add a strong, customer facing Design Engineer to their Raleigh team! The Design Engineer will be the leader of an integrated product team and will be responsible for both mechanical and electromechanical design on site.

Responsibilities include:

· Interpreting customer and internal requirements for mechanical and electromechanical product designs

· Lead integrated team to generate new business and ensure compliance throughout design process

· Validating designs through analysis and testing as well as utilizing SolidWorks design tools effectively

· Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD tools

· Design cost-effective and manufacturable parts and assemblies

· Troubleshoot mechanical issues and participate in root cause analysis

· Create technical reports covering various analysis topics

Depending on experience, our client is able to offer a base salary from $70,000-$90,000; Benefits include a 3% annual bonus and full health/dental/vision benefits package.
