LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join a reputable law firm in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense and personal injury law, with the ability to manage a high volume of cases and provide comprehensive support to attorneys.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in managing cases related to insurance defense and personal injury claims.
Draft, format, and proof correspondence and legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for case preparation.
Manage case files and maintain organized records.
Coordinate and schedule court dates, appearances, meetings, and depositions.
Prepare and electronically file documents in both federal and district courts.
Assist with trial preparation, including creating trial binders, organizing exhibits, and coordinating witness and expert depositions.
Handle settlement processes, including drafting releases, notices of settlement, and final orders of dismissal.
Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments, site visits, conferences, and events.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a paralegal in insurance defense or personal injury law.
Strong knowledge of legal procedures and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
