LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Temorary to Permanent Legal Assisatant. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the legal field and grow within our firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining organized records.
Court Filings: File and e-file documents in both state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
Research & Analysis: Conduct legal research and gather pertinent information to support case strategies.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and processing mail.
Trial Support: Prepare exhibits, witness binders, and other materials necessary for depositions and trials.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge: Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
