Legal Secretary

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000/year along with Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Time and Holidays, Healthcare, Dental and Vision Coverage, 401k

Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time, Onsite

LHH is partnering with a national law firm seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support attorneys in its civil litigation defense practice in their Downtown Los Angeles office. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity ideal for a highly organized, professional individual with strong administrative and technical skills and a deep understanding of litigation processes.

Responsibilities:

Attorney Support & Communication:

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative and secretarial assistance to assigned attorneys

  • Monitor and handle attorney inboxes in Outlook, including composing, organizing, and forwarding email communications

  • Receive, organize, and route incoming mail for attorneys

Document Preparation & File Management:

  • Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents and correspondence with a strong attention to detail

  • Maintain and organize legal files and case materials, ensuring accurate record-keeping

  • Handle administrative tasks such as scanning, printing, copying, faxing, and converting documents to PDF

Calendar, Meeting, and Travel Coordination:

  • Oversee attorney calendars, including scheduling of court dates, client meetings, and depositions

  • Plan and arrange in-office and off-site meetings, including managing logistics, space reservations, and catering when necessary

  • Coordinate travel plans and compile comprehensive expense reports for attorney reimbursement

Litigation and Billing Assistance:

  • Facilitate conflict checks and manage new matter intake documentation

  • Enter and track attorney billable time in the firm’s billing system accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation defense as a legal secretary or executive assistant

  • Experience in a legal or financial environment preferred

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
