Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Jacksonville, FL (100% Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year

Job Summary: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of non-profit accounting practices and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.
• Assist with annual audits and tax filings.
• Provide financial support to program managers and other staff.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
