Payroll Specialist

Position Overview: As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. You will work closely with the HR team to maintain employee records, handle payroll inquiries, and resolve payroll-related issues. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in payroll processing and must be proficient in UKG UltiPro software.

Role: Payroll Specialist | Temp to Perm | Onsite-Allendale NJ

Pay Rate: $22.00 plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculations of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity in the payroll system.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and resolve any payroll-related issues promptly.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations and company policies.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Assist with payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of experience in payroll processing.
• Proficiency in UKG UltiPro software is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in payroll administration (e.g., CPP) is a plus.
