Senior Financial Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions formally Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst candidate at least 2 years plus of experience for a position in a office located in Wayne, NJ. This is a great contract role that offers opportunities to work with a results driven and dedicated team.

Job Summary: As a Financial Analyst reporting to the Associate Controller, you'll play a crucial role in financial analysis and reconciliations within the dynamic finance team. Your responsibilities will include completing complex processes such as reconciliations, financial analysis, journal entry processing, and handling capital and fixed asset transactions. This role requires a collaborative mindset, as you'll be working as part of a cross-trained team in a fast-paced environment.

Role: Senior Financial Analyst | Contract | Onsite intially then transitions to hybrid

Pay Rate: $35.00 plus pending experience

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Conduct financial analysis and reconciliations across various transactional and balance sheet accounts.
2. Perform bank reconciliations for operating and investment accounts, managing high volumes and complexities.
3. Participate in check voiding processes, including thorough research of payment history.
4. Receive requests for journal entries and process them according to established policies and procedures.
5. Develop and maintain familiarity with departmental policies, including purchasing policies.
6. Keep up-to-date procedures manual documenting primary responsibilities and process steps.
7. Assist in gathering data for compliance reporting to regulatory agencies such as IPEDS and Moody's.
8. Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in written form, with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
9. Utilize spreadsheets and other software tools to perform assigned responsibilities.
10. Conduct research to find solutions to complex problems and present findings effectively.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned, appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of financial analysis and/or financial administrative experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Demonstrated strength in analytical and critical thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
• Experience with Workday
