LHH Recruitment Solutions (pka Parker+Lynch) is working with an insurance related firm looking for an Accounting Manager. This is a small firm with an accounting team of two that is experiencing great growth. A history of small company GL accounting work and reinsurance is highly preferred. Remote role but ideally this candidate is within driving distance for occasional travel

Responsibilities:

• Month/Year End

• Full cycle Accounts Payable

• Accounts Receivable

• Potential supervision of 1 staff

• GL Maintenance

• Financial Statements

• Journal Entries

• Reconciliations

• Financial Reporting

• Understanding of recurring revenue recognition and future reserve claims/losses

• Ensure GAAP compliance

• Assist with tax filing with CPA firm

Requirements:

• Bachelors in accounting

• 4+ years GL accounting experience, preferably in insurance/captive/reinsurance

• CPA preferred
