LHH is looking for a Business Control Specialist for one of our top financial clients in Jersey City!!
About the Role:
Put your risk-savvy mindset to work đ§ đź in a role that blends operational excellence, critical thinking, and global teamwork đđ¤. As our Risk & Control Sidekick đڏââď¸đĄď¸ (okay, technically it's a specialist, but youâll feel like a superhero), youâll track and tame operational issues from their first sighting to final resolutionâmaking sure they donât come back to haunt us đđŤ. Youâll be the go-to expert guiding our Global Markets Operations (GMO) team through the risk landscape, using the bankâs risk framework like a pro-level GPS đşď¸. Whether itâs audits, escalations, or surprise curveballs from compliance đŻâ ď¸, youâll be ready to handle it with a calm head and clear communication. Bonus: youâll get to work across teams like Exchange Traded Derivatives and Collateral Opsâno two days will feel the same đđ˘!
What Youâll Be Doing:
Keep tabs on operational issues from start to finish, ensuring theyâre resolved and donât pop back up like bad sequels.
Beat the clock by meeting key deadlines for identifying and fixing risk-related issues.
Chat with teams across the globe, offering guidance and insights that help them avoid risks and stay in the clear.
Be the bridge between internal auditors, compliance folks, and our amazing GMO teamsâhelping everyone speak the same (risk-friendly) language.
Jump into ad hoc risk-related missions as neededâwe promise, it wonât be boring.
What Youâll Bring:
At least 5 years of experience in Global Markets Operations (risk, compliance, or audit chops? Even better!).
A natural control mindsetâyou notice the little things before they become big things.
Youâre not afraid to challenge the status quo if it means making things better.
Critical thinking? Problem-solving? Creativity? Youâve got all three on speed dial.
Organizational ninja skillsâyou can juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
Confident communicator who can simplify the complex and get your point across at every level.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $42.55 per hour
