Remote Contract Attorney – Jersey City, NJ
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney. This is a temporary position and will likely be a full-time 4-week assignment. The ideal Candidate will be experienced in insurance defense litigation and primarily collaborate with other attorneys as needed and be responsible for insurance claim reviews as well as organizing, analyzing and chronologies of claim facts. This candidate should feel comfortable working autonomously while relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze legal documents for relevance, privilege, and confidentiality
Ensure accurate and timely identification of key information within documents
Collaborate with legal teams to provide comprehensive support for ongoing cases
Utilize legal databases and technology for efficient document review
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Provide feedback and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Ability to commit to full-time hours during the duration of the project and the flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in using legal research tools and software
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Required
J.D. from an accredited law school required
Barred and in good standing with the Bar Association in the state you reside in
Prior insurance defense litigation experience
Familiarity with relevant case management software including but not limited to Concordance, Introspect, Relativity
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite and Legal Research Search Engines
