We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Temporary Accounting Specialist to support a finance team during a critical period of transition and catch-up. The position will be near Kalamazoo MI. This role will play an important part in maintaining daily accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable and general accounting support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting functions including data entry, reconciliations, and payment processing

• Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system

• Prepare vendor payments and ensure proper documentation and approvals

• Assist with month-end tasks and account reconciliations

• Maintain accurate records and respond to internal inquiries related to payables

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Support ad hoc accounting projects and administrative tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

• Comfortable working with accounting software (experience with [insert software if known] is a plus)

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to step in quickly, learn systems, and work independently

• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
