Accounting & Finance

LHH has partnered with a Marketing Company in Kansas City, MO, to find a Accounting Manager. This contract to hire position offers growth potential and a hybrid work schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly billing cycles, including preparing and reconciling balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other financial reports and schedules.

  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

  • Prepare staff productivity reports and work with project staff to enhance timekeeping accuracy and efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant financial regulations.

  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary information and documentation.

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and client billing processes; reconcile the general ledger.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for office operations regarding staff changes, security, and facility access.

  • Oversee office lease management with the VP of Finance and handle office maintenance, including managing supplies and equipment.

  • Provide administrative support to team members as needed.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.

  • 5-7 years of accounting experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to introduce new ideas and concepts to improve efficiency.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite and project accounting preferred).
