LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a Manufacturing company in the Kansas City Metro area. They are looking to bring on a Accounts Payable Manager to improve their processes.


Supervision and Leadership:



  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of accounts payable professionals, ensuring high performance and collaboration.


  • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations to maintain a productive work environment.


Accounts Payable Operations:



  • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, expense reporting, and payment transactions.


  • Ensure accurate coding and approvals are in place, aligning with company policies and standards.


  • Manage the vendor payment process, including check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.


Process Improvement:



  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.


  • Develop and maintain comprehensive accounts payable policies and procedures.


  • Automate processes to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.


Compliance and Reporting:



  • Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with company policies, GAAP, and relevant regulations.


  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, metrics, and KPIs to support decision-making.


  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.


Vendor Management:



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing and resolving payment issues promptly.


  • Negotiate favorable payment terms and manage vendor inquiries effectively.


  • Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure vendor accounts are accurate and up-to-date.


Financial Coordination:



  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless month-end and year-end closings.


  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports as needed.


  • Monitor cash flow requirements related to accounts payable to maintain financial stability.


Technology and Systems:



  • Utilize accounts payable software and ERP systems to optimize operations.


  • Address system issues and collaborate with IT for system enhancements and upgrades.


  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all accounts payable systems.


Qualifications:



  • Accounts payable coding knowledge


  • Experience with continuous process improvement


  • 2 years of Management experience


  • Experience with process automation and digital payment solutions


  • 5 years of experience in accounts payable


  • Bachelor’s Degree: Accounting, Finance, or a related field
