LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a Manufacturing company in the Kansas City Metro area. They are looking to bring on a Accounts Payable Manager to improve their processes.
Supervision and Leadership:
Lead, train, and mentor a team of accounts payable professionals, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations to maintain a productive work environment.
Accounts Payable Operations:
Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, expense reporting, and payment transactions.
Ensure accurate coding and approvals are in place, aligning with company policies and standards.
Manage the vendor payment process, including check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive accounts payable policies and procedures.
Automate processes to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with company policies, GAAP, and relevant regulations.
Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, metrics, and KPIs to support decision-making.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Vendor Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing and resolving payment issues promptly.
Negotiate favorable payment terms and manage vendor inquiries effectively.
Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure vendor accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
Financial Coordination:
Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless month-end and year-end closings.
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports as needed.
Monitor cash flow requirements related to accounts payable to maintain financial stability.
Technology and Systems:
Utilize accounts payable software and ERP systems to optimize operations.
Address system issues and collaborate with IT for system enhancements and upgrades.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all accounts payable systems.
Qualifications:
Accounts payable coding knowledge
Experience with continuous process improvement
2 years of Management experience
Experience with process automation and digital payment solutions
5 years of experience in accounts payable
Bachelor’s Degree: Accounting, Finance, or a related field
