LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing CPA Firm located in the KC metro to fill a Audit Senior Staff position. This position is expected to correctly perform routine engagement procedures in a timely and professional manner. Individual must be able to meet assigned deadlines. An Audit Senior Staff is familiar with audit standard concepts, practice and procedures. This individual may lead and direct the work of others and relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement Procedures: Perform routine engagement procedures in a timely and professional manner.
Deadline Management: Meet assigned deadlines consistently.
Team Leadership: Lead and direct the work of others.
Industry Focus: Work primarily within the Construction & Real Estate Industry Line.
Audit Preparation: Prepare audit workpapers and conduct audit research as needed.
Accounting Functions: Prepare detailed accounting and statistical functions related to auditing.
Responsibility Management: Effectively manage responsibilities on audit engagements.
Research: Use reference materials to research auditing issues.
Industry Knowledge: Develop an understanding of the audit client’s industry and marketplace.
Technology Use: Use technology to learn continually, share knowledge with audit team members, and enhance service delivery.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate time and expense records to ensure proper billing of clients.
Professional Development: Comply with relevant continuing professional education requirements (AICPA, State Board of Accountancy, Governmental Accounting Standards, and the firm).
Professionalism: Demonstrate “executive presence” by instilling confidence through manner, spoken and written word, and professional appearance.
Collaboration: Work closely with principals, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach for client service and new business development.
Client Relationships: Maintain strong client service relationships and cross-sell services as appropriate.
Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of all technical aspects of the job, including necessary systems and procedures.
Communication: Effectively communicate advanced technical knowledge through written and verbal communication; continuously develop communication skills.
Firm Knowledge: Increase knowledge base on the firm’s industry lines and service offerings.
Firm Values: Promote the ideas, values, mission, and vision of the firm; support the one-firm concept.
Proactive Learning: Seek knowledge, new tasks, and responsibilities proactively.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education:
Construction and/or Real Estate Experience
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or bachelor’s degree with the 150-hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam.
3-5 years in relevant position or equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary:
$80,000 - $100,000
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
