Environmental Compliance Administrator

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per Year


LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable, stable, family-owned construction company headquartered in the Kansas City area that has a need to directly hire a degreed Environmental Compliance Administrator to join its team! This person will report to the Compliance Director and collaborate with internal and external partners to optimize systems and ensure regulatory compliance.


This is a fully onsite role in the Kansas City area that offers competitive base salary, flexibility, solid benefits package including 100% Company paid employee-only health insurance, and annual bonus potential!


Responsibilities include:



  • Collect, compute, and accurately complete all regulatory reporting by required deadlines, including Tier 2, EIQ, and TRI required reporting.


  • Conduct ongoing reviews of environmental programs and performance, providing insights to leadership.


  • Maintain environmental permits/plans, and execute modifications to ensure compliance with regulations and business needs.


  • Assist with regulatory audits in the areas of Environmental, Safety and DOT compliance; lead proactive efforts for continuous improvement.


  • Oversee compliance initiatives at multiple sites, and engage regarding reporting, investigating, correcting, and managing environmental incidents. Participate in incident investigations and track environmental incident statistics.


Qualifications needed:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety or a related field.


  • 2 or more years of professional experience in an environmentally-focused role, preferably in the construction industry.


  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel skills (solid basics/spreadsheets) required.


  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.


  • Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to self-manage projects.
