LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a well known organization in the Kansas City Metro area, that is looking to add to their team for a Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the review of accounts payable and receipting entries completed by Specialists.

• Generate accounts receivable invoices as needed for designated units.

• Process, code, and record complex invoices and reimbursement requests.

• File monthly sales tax returns for units as required.

• Prepare and input journal entries in accordance with established accounting procedures.

• Conduct bank account reconciliations for non-assigned locations.

• Review ledgers related to associated funds and accounts.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

• Prepare monthly financial statements for review by the Accounting Manager, ensuring completion by the 15th of each month.

• Input annual and revised budgets for corps/units into accounting software.

• Draft written reviews of budget variances on a monthly and as needed basis.

• Maintain records in compliance with established Salvation Army policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Business administration and finance courses desirable. Courses in computer-based accounting very helpful.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
